I served in the Australian Army from 1990-1995 as a Sapper with the Royal Australian Engineers, 21 Construction Sqn.’91-‘93 and as carpenter at the School of Army Health ’93-’95. Discharged because of a serious back injury I was at a loss as to what life was really about – the search had begun!
Born again in 1999, God has had me in His hands to be His minister to others from that time. In 2004 I took on a role of Building Studies teacher in a Bible training college in Fiji. My wife Leanne and three children (now six) spent 9 months in Fiji.
It was while in my 3rd year of Bible college, 2020 that I really felt God had something special and particular for me. So, I went bush and spent some time discussing possibilities with the Father. It was at this time I felt drawn to minister to soldiers. I also met an ex-soldier whose wife had been with Everymans’ whilst he was serving overseas. With their encouragement and much prayer, I contacted an Everyman’s Rep in Brisbane and met with Richard Gibson and Ben Ridley. I now will be joining Richard at 2 CER. Back to the Sappers!
